Why We Started
MAGO MAGA began with a thinking: As specialty coffee has grown, tools and techniques have also become more complex, either professional barista competition or home brewing, which brings higher cost and more difficult to study. That’s exciting, but it can also push people away. We met many coffee lovers who were curious about roasting, now felt stuck: the learning curve was steep, the results were hard to repeat, and the fun sometimes got replaced by frustration.
So we set out to build a roaster that keeps what truly matters—stable results, easier to control, repeatable and the most important: acceptable price, which can helps beginner feels excite to explore their own coffee journey.
Roma Pro — The Product We’re Most Proud Of
Our mail product, Roma Pro, is a hot-air fluid-bed home roaster with a practical capacity of about 300 grams. We designed it to feel approachable on day one, while still offering the depth that enthusiasts want as they grow.
The Roma Pro has built a following not just through performance, but through education. Many of our users started with zero roasting experience, only to find themselves developing a deep, intuitive connection to the bean. It’s rewarding to see people move beyond the daily caffeine fix to explore the nuances of processing, aroma, and sweetness. We didn't just build a roaster; we built a way for anyone to master the art of coffee

How We Build
The journey from our early prototypes to production has been all about listening. We focused on the basics—making sure the Roma Pro is dependable and easy to master. By taking real feedback from our community, we’ve been able to iterate fast, polishing the interface and roast logic until it feels effortless. We want the Roma Pro to grow with you, becoming a more stable and satisfying tool every time you power it on.
This original product achieved remarkable success on a U.S. crowdfunding platform. Even before mass production, the Mago Maga Smart Home Coffee Bean Roaster (Roma Pro V1.0) attracted paid support from over 300 professional coffee roasters and coffee enthusiasts. These backers came from more than 30 countries and regions across North America (United States, Canada), Europe (United Kingdom, Germany, etc.), the Middle East (United Arab Emirates), and Asia (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia), among others.
When founder Chifeng Lei brought the product to the SCA Expo in Houston, USA, Mago Maga was recognized as “The Best New Product.”
Mago Maga secured angel investment and spun off from its original company, Time100 Inc., to establish a new company—Coffee Is Home Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.—marking the start of a new chapter.
